Hailing from Edinburgh, this bruising post metal band first caught my ears while on tour with Hundred Year Old Man but cemented a friendship hanging out in the merch tent at Damnation Festival 2025. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFor this beer, we’ve returned to one of our favourite styles here at Black Iris, the Black IPA. For me, there is no other beer style that encapsulates the kind of freedom and quest for innovation that thrived in the beer scene around 2014-18. We focused on pushing the initial pine bitterness in this beer with Cascade and Simcoe whole leaf in the boil, in good numbers to counteract the mat sweetness, while finishing El Dorado and Idaho 7 at pitch.
